“The pineapple and sweetcorn salsa was, as promised by many reviewers before me, genius – it added a surprising sweet juiciness to alternate bites which made it stand out from the crowd.”

“I went for the Oaxacan Mole aka the Choc Norris which includes a mouth watering combination of sweet potatoes, corn, plantains, beans, pumpkin seeds, loads of spices and chocolate.
As a vegetarian I have found it frustrating that most burrito joints in London don’t offer anything more than some combo of grilled peppers and onions… so I was ridiculously excited to get a burrito with a little more to it.
I could keep rambling on about my love for burritos here, but in short I think I have found my new favourite burrito place.
If you’re ever around Liverpool St I highly recommend wandering over to Middlesex Street to try it out for yourself.”

“This is a burrito that is up there with the best stuff I have eaten in the Southern California and Baja regions. Service is friendly and surroundings comfortable. I have been eating the pork offering… and it is divine. The salsa, guacamole etc are all really fresh and the tortillas cooked to perfection.
My office is a good 20 minutes walk away from the Flying Burrito and I have no qualms about doing the journey – the food is that good. I really can’t reccomend the place high enough.”

“The whole experience was superb: lovely tortilla, perfectly!! cooked rice, deliciously stewed beef that melted in the mouth, pineapple salsa is genius, was unexpected taste but truly, truly delicious and lovely fresh, crisp lettuce. 20 out of 10.”

“Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Beef burritos are slow cooked which makes a nice change. The place is relaxed and well decorated that you can enjoy your food in comfort. Very glad this place has opened as this area of the city was lacking a burrito option and I think Flying Burrito are one of the best around right now.”

“love this place. would eat there everyday, twice, if it stayed open longer and i wasn’t paranoid of getting addicted and putting on loads of weight. glorious food.”

“I particularly enjoyed the salsa; the addition of pineapple was an interesting and welcome surprise. I have yet to try the spicier options but I can’t wait. Will definitely be back. The staff were friendly and efficient and the seating area was clean and welcoming”.

“The food is fresh daily with a simple menu that works. You could try a different meat option everyday, but I pumped for the interesting looking vegetarian option and WOW!!! was I pleasantly surprised! They have added chocolate, a typical Mayan savory ingredient, and the flavour, with all that fresh cilantro, is just superb. Check out the Cactus salsa as well…. There is a great Hot Sauce on the table for those of us that like to spice things up just that little bit more”

“I went back today and had a beef quesadilla… it was fantastic!!!! I mentioned yesterday that the burrito needed a kickass salsa, they had one there but it just wasn’t in my burrito, maybe they were worried about my chilli ability. This time I had some of their tomatillo salsa in the quesadilla and sprinkled it with some great hot sauce they have”.

“Well, today was their first day open, so I’ll give them a little slack. Their beef burrito was huge and made with big chunks of well stewed beef in very mild chilli. It was a very fat burrito, that had all the ingredients but just lacked any real umph to it. It really needed a kick-ass salsa with a lot of cilantro, a little lime juice and some serious chilliment to give it some life”.

“This place is great! The chicken burrito was really big and very tasty! Both sauces I chose for my wrap (tomato/coriander and the cactus leaf sauce) were amazing!
Very friendly and fast service too! 10/10!”

“For a brand new establishment visited at the end of the day, this was actually damn impressive. Unfortunately they had run out of guacamole (not good!) which would have improved it overall however the chicken itself tasted superb. The “hot” salsa was rather disappointing and not really hot at all. I hope that this will improve over time”.
